September 23, 2022 Prayer Update

How to Pray for CrossWay International

We have some time sensitive prayer requests - so we're sending this out a bit early ...

Nicaragua

Pray for Gospel Presentation at Graduation Ceremony, Saturday Sept 24th

As I write this on Friday night - tomorrow, Saturday, September 24th at 10:00am - CrossWay TecNica will have it's final graduation celebration.  Our students and their families will celebrate the hard work and the skills the students have gained in their English and Computer studies.  The students will receive their official certificates.

What is even more exciting for us, though - is the opportunity to share the gospel with all of the gathered friends and family.  Josue Ruiz, assistant field director and director of the school will be sharing the gospel with everyone who comes to celebrate.  We believe that prayer matters and we are asking you to pray with us for the gospel to be presented boldly and clearly, and for hearts to be open to hear and respond.

Thank you for praying with us!

Kenya

Praise for Caleb Gatuku!

Thank you for praying for little Caleb! Our assistant field director in Kenya is John Gatuku, and his 1.5 year old son was admitted to the hospital with a high fever, that was caused by a tonsil infection - but the doctor has now sent him home from the hospital with a clean bill of health! Praise the Lord!

John Gatuku and his family including little Caleb far right.

Bob Hamilton leaving soon for Kenya

Bob is heading out in the next few days to Kenya! Please pray for a safe journey and a fruitful trip!

Burnt out Water Pump & Engine Trouble

From our limited perspective, it is hard to not be a little frustrated and discouraged when things seem to go wrong.  In just the last week, an electrical surge burned out some of our electrical system, including the water pump at our HQ in Sagana, Kenya.  It's probably going to cost us $2,800 to have a new one installed, and better surge protection put in place to try to prevent this from happening again.

On top of that, the engine in our truck conked out while Moses was on the road, and we had to have it towed to the mechanic.  We are awaiting a diagnosis and a repair estimate.  Certainly not the most fun or exciting news.  It makes us wonder - what is God up to?

Is there an auto mechanic, water pump technician and/or electrician that God wants us to share the gospel with?  Is God wanting to remind us that our hope is in HIM and not in our own plans and resources?

We don't know - but He does.  So we put our trust in him to both guide and provide.

If God is leading you to help us and you would like to designate funds for these needs so the ministry can continue moving forward, we would appreciate it.
